Signatories self-select the category they fall into, but the UNSHP Board reserves the right to determine which category is most appropriate.

Companies – based on their nature of industry- could have direct or indirect effects on human health or environment. As we mentioned, Code of Practice for Sustainable Health, covers “HEALTH” in three aspects:
Human health issues:
All industries which their product /services have direct impacts on human health are in this category. Such as Food, agriculture, drug, hygiene industry, health care centers and etc.
Human Health Effects:
-All industries which their product/services or their processes have indirect impact on society’s health are in this category. It includes adapting how we deliver services, health promotion, more prevention, corporate social responsibility and developing more sustainable models.
-All industries which their product/ services or their processes have indirect impact on environment are in this category.
Sustainable Health & Well-being (General):
This is the broadest level and involves considering the sustainability of everything that impact on health and well-being (e.g. education, farming, banking etc.).
We ask that the highest level of an organization signs up on behalf of the entire organization, including its subsidiaries.
B-INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIP
UNSHP individual memberships are available only to individuals who are working in industry- could have direct or indirect effects on human health or environment (Mentioned Category) andhave all the followingbenefits:

C-HONARARY MEMBERSHIP
The grade of Honorary Member is a significant honor bestowed by UNSHP and is awarded for life to an individual or Excellence Performance to an organization. Honorary Members are elected by the Board of UNSHP from among those who have rendered meritorious service to Improve Healthy life of humanity and Promote Sustainable health in Local Community.
